Major Russian Strikes Disrupt Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water systems, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen rockets attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The assaults come after nights of air raids in the region, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
